What is CHEX? 
We are your Colorado Home Energy Advisor. We provide a tremendous amount of information on the simplest and most cost effective ways to make your home more comfortable while lowering your utility bills.
Did you know;
1.) 30% of the average American home’s heating cost is due to excess air infiltration.
2.) Most American homes can reduce their energy cost by 10 to 30 percent by making energy efficiency improvements.
3.) Many of these improvements will only cost you a few hundred dollars and pay for themselves in one to five years.
4.) The government provides incentives that may pay as much as 50% of the initial cost for these improvements while funding is available. Currently there are Federal tax credits, State and Utility Rebates available.

What does CHEX do?
We save you money. CHEX will perform a detailed audit of your home or plans and advise you on the cost and benefits of the various options for improving the comfort, efficiency and durability of your home. We are certified by both RESNET and BPI to provide you with an unbiased evaluation of your homes energy use. We will not try to sell you windows or a furnace. CHEX will show you which items have the best (ROI) Return on Investment. CHEX will provide you with a written report indicating where your homes energy weaknesses are and the options for improvement. CHEX will provide you with estimated cost and the anticipated pay- back time for each of these options. CHEX will guide you to a more comfortable home with reduced utility bills.
What does a CHEX Home Energy Audit Include?
With just your house square footage and your annual energy cost, CHEX will at no cost, give you a quick estimate of how your home is performing measured against the national average. We will then help you decide what level of audit you should have CHEX perform. The following levels are available;
Diagnostic/ Field Rating Inspection
For Your New ENERGY STAR® Home:
We are proud to provide rating services to qualify new homes for the ENERGY STAR® label. ENERGY STAR qualified new homes are substantially more energy efficient than homes built to the minimum code requirements. Even in states with more rigorous energy codes, the U.S. EPA ensures that ENERGY STAR remains the symbol for truly energy-efficient performance. These homes are good for businesses, consumers, and the environment.
